Type in the name and press “Enter”. Your new playlist has just been created and is displayed under [MY PLAYLISTS].

I have songs and music scores, how do I add them?

To add pieces, you may either:
  • Select one of your playlists from [MY PLAYLISTS]
  • Or import your songs directly

Once you have completed one of these operations, just click on “Add a song” under [PLAYLIST]. The “New Song” popup menu will open.

4 tabs: Properties, Lyrics, Files and Display

[Properties]
Type in the name of the song, performer’s name and your own comments (if necessary).

[Lyrics]
This is where you enter your music scores. You may type or cut & paste the lyrics and chords for your song and click on “OK” to save them.
If you type directly into the capture template, you may indicate the chords as shown below:

Type in the chords on the line above the corresponding lyrics. Position them by inserting spaces between the chords so they are correctly placed according to the corresponding lyrics, like in this example:

          G                       D                  C#                    Am7
It's not time to make a change, just relax and take it easy

In preview mode, the chord lines are shown in bold blue to help you check their position:

          G                       D                  C#                    Am7
It's not time to make a change, just relax and take it easy

NB: you may also use ChordPro format to enter the lyrics and chords. In this format, the chords are typed in brackets [ ] between the lyrics at the place where they are played.

A “Help” button containing this information is also available to explain the writing mode and provide instructions.
If you want to search for lyrics on the Internet, use the “Search” button under [Lyrics].

[Files]
This is where you import your files and associate them to your songs. Click on “download” and follow the guide. Once you have finished importing you can use and share the files with your Friends.
By clicking on “Import from iTunes” you can easily import a piece of music from your iTunes library.

[Display]
This is where you view the lyrics, chords and music scores for your piece and where you can listen to attached audio files.

How do I associate files to my song titles?

Create a new song (Cf. I already have songs, how do I add them? ?) or click on the title of the song to which you want to associate a file.
In the popup menu that opens, go to [Files]. To import your file, you may either:
  • Search your computer by clicking on “Download” and use the Browser to recuperate and import it
  • Or import it directly from your iTunes music library by clicking on “Import from iTunes”.
The site especially recognizes certain types of files: MIDI files are converted to display the song sheet. You can listen to the MP3 or AAC audio files at the same time as you view the lyrics.

What are the different display modes?

You can display the lyrics, chords and scores associated with your songs in your My SyncSing account.

How do I manage, modify and delete my songs?

Your My SyncSing account lets you totally manage all of your songs.

You can:

This will open a popup with the data and content associated with the song. Click on “OK” to validate the changes.

  • Duplicate it by selecting it on your list and clicking on “Duplicate”.
You can duplicate several songs at the same time by checking the boxes of the ones you want to duplicate or else in a single click by pressing “Select all” and then “Duplicate”.

  • Link your song
You may associate your song to several playlists by clicking on “Link”. Check the boxes of the songs you want to link to your playlists. Select the playlist or lists you want to link from the popup menu and press “OK”.

You will be asked for confirmation before the operation is completed, like for any dangerous operation.
